HOW TO SPEAK DOG
How To Speak Dog teaches you how to effectively communicate with your dog and is the foundational course for Lisa’s program.
In week one of five, you will engage in a thorough introduction to dogs. We tackle vital topics such as bone development, growth patterns, body condition, nutrition, heart health, and both potty and crate training. Even seasoned dog owners gain fresh insights.
Dogs lack a spoken language, so we must find effective ways to talk to them. During weeks two through four, you will master the art of using marker words to tell your dogs precisely when they are succeeding or need another attempt. Marker words are meaningful sounds that let dogs know how they have done. They bring clarity and relief to a dog’s experience. These first four weeks focus entirely on your learning, free from your dog’s distractions.
In week five, you will introduce your dog to markers for the first time and demonstrate your readiness to navigate the excitement of a live dog in class.
This course is available even if your puppy hasn’t finished their vaccines, enabling you to practice communication techniques in a safe setting at home. The entire five-week program is available for $175 via Venmo or Zelle or $180 by credit card.

The new 4 week long Markers class being offered by Lisa’s Nosy Puppers Dog Training is an excellent way for dog owners to learn, not only what the markers are, but to also learn the appropriate timing for giving the markers and how all of this translates to your dogs understanding (since dogs don’t speak English!).
And the first 3 sessions are catered to the humans only, so you don’t have the added pressure of bringing your puppy or dog to their first training class, while trying to learn this foundational and critical information.
The sessions are set up with a mix of fun games and important instructional time, with the last session being when you get to bring your dog to class for the first time and practice what you’ve learned with Lisa directly.
Our 9-month old Bernedoodle puppy is in his 3rd class overall with Lisa, and we highly recommend her and this program for your dog training needs. It has been transformational so far for our family, and we are looking forward to new class offerings in the future!
