PRIVATE LESSONS

Nosy Puppers offers private lessons in our training area or at your home if you are within 20 minutes of our location. These lessons are ideal for those seeking more personalized attention than group settings can provide. Each session lasts between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on your dog’s needs, allowing us to progress at your pace while addressing specific issues.

Participation in How to Speak Dog is mandatory, although it can be taken privately, with the group option being more budget-friendly. At our Fairfield location, the cost is $150 per lesson, or you can purchase a package of six for $800, which saves you $100 off individual lesson pricing. For sessions at your home within a 20-minute radius, the fee is $225 per lesson, with a package of six available for $1200, saving you $150 compared to buying individual lessons.

PRONG COLLAR LESSONS

Certain dogs may require the use of prong collars as they create the impression that the handler has greater authority. These collars provide a correction that helps redirect a dog’s focus during moments of high excitement, enabling them to refocus attention on their owner.

It is important to note that puppies should not wear prong collars, and no dog should have one on without prior training addressing the specific behavior that needs correction. At Lisa’s Nosy Puppers, we prioritize teaching the behavior first before any corrections are made. Once a dog has received some foundational training, including loose leash walking, they may qualify for a prong collar.

These lessons are exclusively available to our students, as we do not permit anyone to learn about the collar without undergoing a more effective training approach. Prong collar lessons are conducted as private sessions, and the standard rate for each lesson is $150, with typically one or two lessons being sufficient.
